Annotation

This paper renders and assays ‘dual feedback’ pattern in interpreted talk. Recipient's gaze holds a pivotal role in backchannels' production. Recipients orient to the knowing party (‘principal’) whilst generating backchannels. Dual feedback embodies the double conversational ground in interpreted talk and provides a subtle change in the participation framework.
