Annotation

An appeal to Positioning Theory and Indexicality discloses that fine-grained linguistic indicators of appearing multiplicities of self- and other-construction in Korean serve as metaphorical scalar points on interpersonal interaction's sociometer. TV workplace-based contexts generate a backdrop for the complicated creative ways in which interactants position themselves with regard to their interlocutors, with fine-grained, incrementally measured bits of gap-producing and gap-deleting discourse. Discursive tension within the workplace context appears in discourse disclosing ways in which informal interpersonal relationships leak into the more formal workplace background.
