This inquiry merges linguistic landscape and linguistic anthropology. Multimodal semiotic recourses are employed by youth in language regimentation. Anti-racist activist discourse is placed in the linguistic landscape. Via a spatialization process, a local discursive regime is generated. The vernacular ‘Förortssvenska’ is policed as an act of ‘cultural appropriation’.
