Annotation

North-South (N/S) differences have long formed migration discourse in the Americas. N/S are semi-stable shifters with plural uses in state discourse and daily talk. N/S frameworks in talk entwine intimate, national, and international politics. N/S recursively predicts supremacy and subjection relations across domains. N/S frameworks generate close distance with nuanced inclusion and exclusion.
