This article assays a corpus of 15 video narratives of migration experiences posted on the United We Dream Movement website. 'Dreamers' build an “acceptable citizen” identity by invoking American traditionary values. 'Dreamers' employ linguistic stance indicators like modality and non linguistic ones like music to construct their identity. Narratives posted online by 'Dreamers' form a novel hybrid autobiographical genre.
