Media audiences can be spoken to via 4 second-person paradigms in Spanish. Each person paradigm implies a specific discursive-cognitive meaning. Person choice influences participant identity and relationship construction. Singular tú and plural ustedes are the dominant choices with radio audiences. Each person is associated with a distinct radio communication model.
