SignWriting (SW), a movement writing system, is typically written from the signer's embodied perspective. Rather than center on signing's receptive visual modality, SW points out the signer's phenomenological experience. Writers often read or create SW texts written from another signer’s embodied perspective. This paper regards the ideological framings and results of these practices.
