Annotation

Ixhil orthographic conventions externalize an ideology in which image is a visual metaphor of ethnicity. The Ixhil literacy model lists a myriad of ethnic identities but also sets a shared communitas. Standard Ixhil Mayan concurrently atones pan-dialectal unity and local practice.
