Western ideas of truth and interpretation are inclined to depend on ethnocentric suppositions. Amazonian Urarina ethnography suggests a very distinct language view.
Words are basically “eaten”, including a theory of absorptive truth. Comparable views may be very extensive, although frequently mostly tacit.
