Annotation

On the basis of naturalistic recordings in a larger number of classrooms, distinctive communication acts of the aboriginal child and distinctive patternings of communication between the teacher and the aboriginal child have been observed. It is suggested that the communicative patterns reveal an ongoing process of renegotiation of communicative terms on the initiative of the aboriginal child.
