This paper explores how general practitioners present conditioned follow-ups to patients, that is, the chance to return to the clinic if their condition does not meliorates or if it should aggravate. The paper explores why the hypotheticality of this specific sort of proposition making is a resource for practitioners in terms of attaining advance towards consultation termination, and also in terms of attaining agreement upon fit, liable and easing therapy plans.
