Annotation

This paper suggests that the fictionalized reader as discerned in popular science represents a new approach to the incorporation of a reader into a non-fiction text. The fictionalized reader aids popular science authors elucidate scientific notions in more engaging terms and conduces to a more interactive and inclusive popularization model.
