This article presents law drafting techniques, particularly in Chinese, that strive for raising the fluency and legibility of Hong Kong bilingual legislation. The paper is based on the plain language guide published by the Department of Justice of Hong Kong in 2012, with the aim of aiding the topical legislation to meet the guidelines.
