In minority language revival contexts, competence determination in the minoritised language is a sensitive social matter that impacts citizens regardless of their linguistic background. This study, centered on the Basque Autonomous Community (Spain), presents the Basque Competence Assessment test (known by its acronym EGA) and evaluates the factorial invariance of the writing section taking a structural equation modelling approach.
