This article handles evaluations employed in third position to get replies to questions. It claims that participants differentiate between two evaluation types: evaluative and deontic assessments. By assuming a special stance in third position, speakers show their comprehension of what the reply was doing and can actively attribute an action to it. They thence construct and upkeep intersubjectivity architecture.
