Annotation

Theorists have discussed whether our skill to grasp sarcasm (belonging here to verbal irony) is mainly defined by the context or by attributes of the comment itself. This study explored an alternative perspective that widens the focus on the comment itself, proposing that extenuating a very positive notion by employing negation produces by default sarcastic interpretations.
