This paper collates texts including quantified statements uttered numerically versus verbally in two text change experiments to evaluate how the overall quantified noun phrase is encoded in each case. Numerical quantifiers place focus on a subset's size, whilst verbal quantifiers are better integrated with nouns leading to more focus on the subset itself.
