The domain of Critical Discourse Studies (CDS) has to expand its analytical extent and cross-fertilize with interactional identity accounts. For this goal, an analytical framework is presented predicated upon a synthesis of well-established CDS analytical tools with interaction-oriented ones, which ends in the molding of ‘discursive strategies of identity construction in interaction’.
