In many commonalties the relative social status of diverse social and cultural groups ends in hegemonic relationships or an ‘order’ with series of taken-for-granted societal standards or ideologies which affect conduct, covering linguistic conduct. This study labels this notion the culture order, and presents it as a possible sociolinguistic universal.
