Annotation

This paper argues that ethnicity is not a statistically important factor in the generation of voiceless th-stopping (e.g. ting for thing) amid Manchester youth (UK), whereas conversational context and involvement in facets of specific social practices—grime (rap) and dancehall music—appear as possibly more pertinent.
