Annotation
This study asserts that meanings linked to status and solidarity work at plural levels and cannot be taken for granted, and shows that vernacular forms that miss status within the ruling sociolinguistic economy may be employed to claim status within local interactional use. It farther fostered debate of the ways local vernaculars might be closey related to classed subjectivities.
