This article explores a particular form of tautological constructions -a is a and b is b-. The phenomenon was first limned by A. Wierzbicka. Later, J. Meibauer termed this form “coordinated tautologies” (CT). This inquiry handles the topic of compositionality in the building and explanation of CT in Spanish and Russian.
