Annotation
This article problematises a competence-oriented reflective method to intercultural education by employing four students’ reflective essays on their experiential learning experiences on an ‘Intercultural Competence’ (IC) module. It argues that essentialism ought to be admitted as being afoot symbiotically with non-essentialist concepts and could be employed critically throughout intercultural learning.
