This corpus-assisted critical discourse assay of news reports on air pollution edited from 2008 through 2015 by China Daily, China’s biggest official English-language newspaper, discloses a notable attitudinal change around the end of 2011 as to public awareness of raising air pollution levels in China and linked public criticism.
