It is put that the liberalization of the TV market in Flemish Belgium, has changed the broadcaster VRT from a public service targeting viewers' education into an ambitious corporation avid to commodify nonstandard language use to lure viewers. This study handles the sociolinguistic impact of the TV market deregulation on Flemish public service broadcasting.
