This paper centers on the Jewish ultra-Orthodox Habad minority in Israel, examining its stances toward language and language education policy (LEP) interacting with groups’ identities, internal dynamics and intergroup relations, and community stances toward languages relevant to them—Hebrew, Loshen Koydesh, Yiddish and English.
