This paper essays the build of Finnish constitutional bilingualism in the aftermath of achieving independence, a terrible civil war and during the build of a novel republican polity founded on regulated parliamentarism in 1917–1919. It uses a multi-sited and historically informed method to political discourse dynamics at parliamentary level.
