Annotation

This inquiry explores two automated systems, the L2 syntactic complexity analyzer (SCA) and Coh‐Metrix, for their assay of English syntactic complexity as a mode to catch variation across two genres in 62 essays (narrative and argumentative) written by 81 English as a second language (ESL) students.
