Annotation

This study explored the word superiority effect (WSE) in two-character words for native Chinese readers (NCRs) (Test 1) and low-skill adult Chinese learners (LSCLs) with Thai (Test 2a) and Indonesian (Test 2b) as native language backcloths. NCRs make strong presentations at character and word level, LSCLs rest on the word level.
