The assay took the prototype-plus-distortion methodology (Franks & Bransford, 1971) and explored whether the outcomes can be copied and also discerned by (ESL) English-as-a-second-language learners. No outcomes were heeded from 22 forward adult ESL learners, presenting eventual odds between first and second transitive semantic representations.
