Annotation

This assay explores the /r/ learning in German and Spanish monolingual and bilingual children aged 1;9 to 3;6. German and Spanish are featured by distinct /r/s: a uvular approximant versus an alveolar tap and trill. Results match cross-linguistic interaction in the /r/ learning, in which bilinguals' phonological systems approach each other.
