A volume of papers both in English and French, concerned with a functional approach to the study of syntax. The first section contains papers on the principles of functional linguistics in general; section 2 is concerned with the place of syntax in grammar; section 3 with various terminological matters; and the final section contains papers on some particular syntactic problems.
