Annotation

This paper explores both sequential and categorial aspects of Portuguese as an L2 classroom contexts in a primary school in Macau, China. It re-aligns EM and CA to display how members make L2 lesson events occur. It clarifies how classroom participants identify and generate contexts. Context production is mixed with the fit use of membership categories. Categories are visible phenomena in utterances' sequential organization.
