This qualitative assay of co-occurring discourse markers, confronts a Romance model to English data, and gives a working definition of three co-occurrence levels. It discerns equivocal cases, blurry borders and non-co-occurring clusters, and gives a wide model grasping the syntax, pragmatics and prosody of discourse markers.
