‘Reference to a past learning event’ (RPLE) is revealed as interactional phenomenon. It appears in teacher follow-up, reply and initiation turns in diverse ways. It ends in rising language learning conducts and chances. It displays recalling and temporality in an L2 classroom interaction. The findings add to grasping the intricate mechanisms of L2 CIC.
