This paper presents a discourse-analytic account of online trolling. Any message contribution can be read as an act of being unpleasant, which is now and then taken as a trolling trait. An unpleasant contributor's intentionality is not essentially a factor in whether other contributors regard this person as a troll. The trolling act can be oriented to in a number of ways. It is possibly tricky to build set grasps of trolls and trolling, as the terms are parleyed in situ, according to how the floor space develops.
