Annotation

This article assays novel traits of universities' recruitment posts on social media. They are an interdiscursive blend of policy discourse and promotional discourse, with refined talent hierarchies and stressed compensation information. Visual images, tables, and personalized language predominate in most posts. The paper gives novel grasp of the enlistment hype in China and the affordances of WeChat.
