As yet, pragmatic theory and practice excessively depend on perceptions of communicative practices in the West. Language use patterns in non-Western communities mainly serve as testing grounds for these theories. Western-influenced theoretical frameworks are not culturally neuter but placed in Western ways of thinking. Ethics practices in pragmatics also echo Western viewpoints and values.
