This article reports on a video-based conversation assay of mobility scooter users in daily life. A rally of road ’crossings' are explored to see how users control their behavior to be seen to be doing a ‘crossing’ by other ‘movers’. In the advent to a crossing place, users and their co-movers prepare for a ‘safe passage’ across the traffic flow and peruse the mobilescape for a prevenient ‘window of opportunity’ for joint mobile action. Farther, they parley their right to cross with other movers as well as their duties to the road's moral order.
