Annotation

This inquiry examines modern fashion discourse via a systematic assay of hyphenated phrasal expressions as linguistic traits that are analytically defying, but with intense expressive potential. The used Fashion Discourse Corpus contains 396,125 words rallied from the traditional fashion press (Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, Harper’s Bazaar) and two directive fashion blogs, sitting both American and British English.
