This study explores the relationship between heritage language families and games-based technology for heritage language and literacy development, in terms of attitude, attached values, and use. It states that both children and parents discern between being ‘learners’ or ‘players’, and that cooperative family practices may aid children surmount barriers in the mode they access technology, but also how this technology affects their relation with the heritage language.
