This paper explores what factors conduce to metaphor aesthetic attractiveness (MMA) in a romantic context where men compliment women using metaphorical language. MMA is positively correlated with romance, arousal, figurativeness and imageability. MMA may be defined by the social setting, a communicator's motivation and specific linguistic aspects.
