This paper explored the link between humor styles and depression employing two research methods : (1) the average humor style contrasts between individuals who informed that they had been diagnosed with depression versus those who did not inform being depressed; and (2) the phenotypic, genetic, and environmental correlations between humor styles and a short scale valuing depressed affect made from preexistent measures in archival data.
