Annotation

This study states that evasive answers are motivated by considerations for both speaker and hearer’s positive face-wants. Evasive answers are defined according to Roberts’ (2012) “the question under discussion”-model and featured in terms of violating, infringing, or mocking Grice’s (1975) Maxim of Relation.
