Annotation
This study deals with the cultural identities and communicative repertoires and styles of Indigenous people in the urban diasporas of Brazil. These Indigenous citizens, when interacting with officials in urban centers, frequently see their legal rights ignored, mainly because their communicative repertoire and styles are negatively assessed. It is asserted that in order to attempt to invert this situation, firmly decolonial language education policy and planning geared towards Brazilian public officials is required.
