Annotation

This inquiry examines (40 female) teachers’ beliefs about multilingualism and multilingual students in Swedish primary schools. Overall, teachers’ beliefs are rather hospitable towards multilingualism and multilingual students and recent notions with increasing acceptance in literature, like translanguaging, are well received. However, sceptic views, frequently based on monolingual ideologies are extant.
