This paper debates how individuals use visual resources to hand to propose themselves to others. Based on a corpus of images uploaded and geotagged at Orly airport, it examines the approaches to self-representation on social media to typologize the resources – covering languages – that 21st century French nationals employ to produce their individual but concurrently collective identity.
