Annotation

Two experimental paradigms, a picture-naming task and a Stroop interference task, were used to tackle the structure of the multilingual mental lexicon. German-English-French speakers termed objects in their native and most ascendant language in a task that covered a manipulation of triple and double cognates. The general supposition was that varying levels of language competence will play a vital role in the perceived outcomes.
