This paper reports on an inquiry of domestic migrant worker returnee narratives. The stories were recorded in villages in Java, Indonesia, and the women talk about their remigration experience. The paper asserts that migrant workers’ experiences should be covered in the thinking about globalisation and intercultural communication.
