This paper centers on what the linguistic and discursive elements of land reform and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) policies conceal and unveil about social transformation. It states that the discourse and praxis of social transformation in South Africa has to be conducted in a language that reckons with marginalised voices that speak from non-institutional spaces.
